The Forest Conservation & Stewardship Strategy Forum was held April 30 – May 1, 2010 at The Nature Conservancy’s Efroymson Conservation Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

This statewide forest planning event built on the Statewide Forest Assessment and developed prioritized strategies and action steps for landscape areas where national, regional, and state resources can converge.

Stakeholders listened to a series of presentations to frame the afternoon’s strategy discussions. 

Forum presentations:


Indiana forest issues were loosely defined within work groups. Work groups brainstormed/developed commonly understood strategies and then voted on the strategies to prioritize them. Work groups then developed action steps for the top strategies.
