Steve LaRoche caught this snowy buck from the 12-foot-high deck above his wildlife food plot in early December 2013. He lives in northern Knox County, north of Bruceville, where 12 inches of snow fell this day. He’s been an amateur wildlife photographer for more than 50 years. The retired administrator for Vincennes University used a Sony Alpha 65 with a Tamron 18-270 mm F/3.5-6.3 zoom lens with a 62mm UV lens cover. He’s back as an OI subscriber after a brief absence.
Dawn Bonebrake of Russellville works as a server in The Narrows Restaurant at Turkey Run Inn. During her lunch break, she was the first to hit Turkey Run State Park’s Trail 6 after a heavy, wet snow that was mostly gone by afternoon. She took this shot of Sunset Point and Sugar Creek with her Kodak EasyShare CD82. She has been an OI subscriber for one year.
