Chad Goldman snapped this wintry shot of a cedar waxwing from a Catholic church parking lot the morning after an ice storm. The 8th grade science and biology teacher for Springs Valley Schools in French Lick used a Nikon D50, 75-300 mm lens. Now living in Orleans after moving from Paoli, where he took this photo, he has been a subscriber for about six years. More of his nature photos are at ChadGoldmanPhotography.com.
Carol Carr caught this ominous mid-morning sky a few winters ago while heading west just out of Trafalgar on Johnson County Road 400 South. She says it looked as if a storm was hitting Morgantown. The site made the Edinburgh resident turn around and head home ... after she stopped to snap her Fuji Finepix S1500. The Johnson County retiree, a longtime subscriber, says she “could spend the rest of my life on back roads in southern Indiana and be perfectly happy.”
