Eric Bussis serves as the Data Division Director and Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Local Government Finance. Eric and his staff work with county auditors and assessors to ensure local assessment, tax, and sales data meet compliance standards. He also serves as the project manager for the Gateway for Indiana Government project.

Eric joined the Department after working for the Indiana State Budget Agency. Most recently, he was a Senior Budget Analyst and oversaw a portfolio of agencies with annual budgets totaling $750 million. Prior to that, Eric served within the Budget Agency’s Tax Division for three years. There he worked on local income tax distributions, local government legislation, and the State General Fund revenue forecast.

Eric graduated cum laude from Indiana Wesleyan University with a BS in Economics and Social Work. He also earned a MA in Economics from Indiana University at IUPUI. Eric and his wife Stacy have one son and are members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
