NREMT Renewal Letter for EMTs

For EMTs renewing NREMT EMT certificates in January of 2013, the NREMT requires proof that EMTs have attained the knowledge, skills and abilities required under the new National Educational Standards through an update course approved by the state. A careful study of the NES by Indiana EMS Commission staff has determined that EMTs certified in Indiana have already achieved the required training in their initial EMT training course and require no update. Indiana certified EMTs renewing their NREMT EMT certificates should attach the letter below to their NREMT in service documentation. If you have questions, please call the NREMT at (614) 888-4484.

NREMT Renewal Letter for Paramedics

For paramedics renewing NREMT paramedic certificates in January of 2013, the NREMT requires proof that paramedics have attained the knowledge, skills and abilities required under the new National Educational Standards through an update course approved by the state. A careful study of the NES by Indiana EMS Commission staff  has determined that paramedics licensed in Indiana have already achieved the required training in their initial paramedic training course and require no update. Indiana licensed paramedics renewing their NREMT paramedic certificates should attach the letter below to their NREMT in service documentation.
