IDHS Training Division operates a computer-based training media called The Indiana First Responder Learning Management System. This system provides a variety of training topics that come to you anywhere you can access the Internet. Tens of thousands have successfully used it.
You will not only be able to learn the topics presented, you will also be able to take course examinations, download and print course completion certificates, and download attached course materials for your use during the course and on the job.
This system is intended for all Indiana first responders and emergency management personnel. To have student course completion information transferred to the Acadis database, students should first have a Public Safety Identification number (PSID) which can be obtained through the IDHS Training Division Certification Branch. If you don’t have a PSID and still want to take a course, simply type the initials of your agency in the PSID box. As an example, if you work for the Danville Fire Department, you can type: “DFD”.
IDHS Training Division will continue to add courses to the curriculum, so the system should be checked periodically. To access the system, simply “click” below on the Indiana First Responder Learning Management System. For questions or comments, please contact Ashlee Floyd.
We hope our courses will be useful and your experience with the system will be problem free. This system is our way of saying thanks for your service to Indiana.
