School Safety Specialist Advanced Academy
September 30-October 1, 2013

This training is available to certified school safety specialists, law enforcement, and their guests.  Topics include severe weather preparedness, emergency preparedness and social media, relocation during a crisis, bullying prevention, and more.  Lodging will be provided only for certified School Safety Specialists traveling 75 miles each direction.  Registration and additional information are available here.

The Indiana School Safety Specialist Academy

The Indiana School Safety Specialist Academy provides ongoing, certified training and information on national and state best practices, as well as exemplary resources for school safety, security, intervention/prevention, and emergency preparedness planning. School safety specialists aretrained to lead the development and implementation of school safety practices which will provide safe educational environments for all students in Indiana.  The Indiana Department of Education's website contains a list of upcoming programs.
