In 2013, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) approved new federal rules pertaining to chronic wasting disease and the movement of cervids. Indiana had to modify state rules in order to meet the new federal standards. The following documents provide detailed information on the changes, which took effect July 22, 2013.
