Antique Car Or Motorcycle License PlateThe cost of the special machinery license plate includes vehicle registration fees and taxes, and an administrative fee.

Eligibility

Special Machinery is registered and plated, but is prohibited from operation on an interstate highway. It does not include a vehicle designed to carry people. Special Machinery vehicles include:

  • A portable saw mill
  • Well drilling machinery
  • A utility service cable trailer
  • Any other vehicle that is:
    • Designed to perform a specific function; and
    • Drawn by a motor vehicle

This plate can be ordered at any license branch or partner location. You will receive the plate in the mail within 14 days.

License Plate Stickers And Frames

Your plate should have stickers showing the day, month, and year of your next registration renewal, and the county in which your vehicle is registered. Indiana law prohibits license plate frames or covers that obscure stickers, text, or numbers on your plate.
