Artisan Distiller Eligibility - IC 7.1-3-27-5 outlines the eligibility requirements. These are the requirements that exist permanently. In order to be exempt from the underlying permit requirement, all of the conditions in section 7 must be met as of January 1, 2014. In other words, only entities holding a TTB distiller permit as of January 1, 2014 may obtain an artisan distiller permit without having operated a winery, brewer or distiller permit for three years preceding the date of the application.
