Ground was broken for the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Plaza (ALBP) on July 1, 2008 at Lincoln State Park in Spencer County. Construction for the plaza began on September 1, 2008 after the groundwork was completed.  The plaza will be unveiled in a ceremony on June 12, 2009.  For a detail of the plans for the ALBP, click here.
