Lewis C. Ricci, Executive Director
Lewis is responsible for the strategic planning, direction, management, implementation, and evaluation of all agency operations, programs and services, and internal and external relations.

Michelle oversees the contracts and grants administration, online grants, information technology, human resources, research and assessment, financial management, statewide technical assistance programs, and administrative functions of the agency. Michelle assists the Executive Director in planning and development, as well as day-to-day agency management. She is also responsible for managing the IAC's information systems, including the online grants system (CGO). Michelle coordinates the National Endowment for the Arts grant process and all grant/contract development as well as provide technical support to IAC applicants/grantees and Regional Partners. Dennis Hardin, Executive Assistant
Dennis serves as the main administrative support for the agency, but primarily for the Executive Director. He supervises all agency logistics for meetings and special events, and assists with contract processing. Dennis serves as Ethics Officer, Records Coordinator, and Travel Coordinator for the agency. Kristina Davis-Smith, Director of Programs
Kristina oversees and directs the overall delivery of technical and financial assistance by the IAC through grant programs, workshops, and other services statewide. Her responsibilities include: oversight of AOSIII and Statewide Arts Service Organization grant programs; Region 7 Regional Initiative Grants; Indiana Cultural Districts designation program; ArtsWORK Indiana; and technical assistance regarding accessibility issues and organizational capacity building. Rex Van Zant, Director of Marketing & Communications
Rex provides professional and administrative work in planning, directing, implementation of the agency's external communications and media relations. His primary areas of expertise include: agency press releases and media relations; Arts: 92 e-newsletter; ArtsEye e-newsletter; the biennial Indiana Governor's Arts Awards program: the Indiana Cultural Trust Fund and marketing of the Arts Trust License Plate; and agency logo use compliance. During legislative sessions, he also serves as the agency's legislative liaison. Emily Hellmuth, Communications Manager
Emily provides professional and administrative work related to planning, directing and implementing the agency’s e-communication and social media marketing efforts, as well as website development and management. Emily also provides technical expertise in the area of graphic and publication design. She assists with concept development and event management of special IAC capacity building initiatives and manages the IAC's Capacity Building Grant Program (CBGP). The Indiana Arts Commission is located in Indiana Government Center North at 100 N. Senate Avenue, Room N505 in downtown Indianapolis. All of the following directions lead to Ohio Street via West Street. Senate Avenue is one block east of West Street. Access to Senate Avenue south of Ohio Street is restricted; therefore, visitors will need to utilize metered parking along Ohio Street or on Senate Avenue north of Ohio Street.
- If arriving from east on I-70: merge onto I-65 north (exit 83B) and take Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street (exit 114) south, which becomes West Street. Turn left at Ohio Street.
- If arriving from northeast on I-69: take I-465 south (exit 0) to I-70 west (exit 44) toward Indianapolis. Take I-65 north (exit 83B) toward Chicago. Take Martin Luther King Jr. Street (exit 114), which becomes West Street. Turn left at Ohio Street.
- If arriving on I-65 from northwest: take Martin Luther King, Jr./IUPUI exit (114) to West Street, go south (straight ahead) to Ohio Street, turn left.
- If arriving from west on I-70: take West Street (exit 79A), turn left onto Missouri Street (heading north), which becomes West Street. Turn right at Ohio Street.
- If arriving from southeast on I-65: take I-70 west (exit 110B) to the West Street exit (79A). Turn right (heading north) at the fork onto West Street. Turn right at Ohio Street.
Walking Map
The Government Center does not allow weapons of any sort, including pepper spray and pocket knives. All packages are subject to search by x-ray. Once you enter and go through security, take the east elevators to the fifth floor.
The entrance on Robert Orr Dr. (between Government Center South & Government Center North) is fully accessible, however the fifth floor bathroom is not. Accessible bathrooms are located on the first floor.
