Entry Description

INDIANAPOLIS – First Lady Karen Pence joined by Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann, Secretary of State Connie Lawson, Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz and Auditor Suzanne Crouch announced the 2014 Hoosier Heroine Essay Contest winners during a ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse today. Students in grades 6-9 were invited to participate in the essay contest telling who their Hoosier Heroine was and why.

The following students were chosen as the winners of the first Hoosier Heroine Essay Contest

6th grade awarded by Lt. Governor Ellspermann
