[ISP] Man Arrested on Felony Drug Warrant

New Castle – A subject wanted on a felony drug warrant was arrested today after a trooper spotted the man in a passing vehicle. Around 4:30 p.m. today Trooper Rusty Slater, a member of the Pendleton District Meth Suppression Squad, was driving in New Castle at 15th St. and Walnut St. when he recognized the wanted subject riding in a van as it drove past his fully marked police car.

Slater stopped the van and arrested Daniel J. Miller, age 35, (address listed as at large,) on a warrant for Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Class “D” Felony; Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Class “D” Felony; Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia, both Class “A” Misdemeanors. The driver of the van was not charged.

Miller was lodged in the Henry County Jail. Slater was assisted at the scene by the New Castle Police Department.
