WINCHESTER, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation recently awarded a construction contract to rebuild 1.4 miles of State Road 32 from U.S. 27 to 425 feet west of C.R. 200 East in Randolph County. The three-lane section of east-west highway will be completely reconstructed from subbase up. The contract calls for a new 3-sided concrete culvert and extensive drainage work.
A pre-construction conference will be scheduled soon with Milestone Contractors, the project’s prime contractor. Milestone was recently awarded the INDOT contract based on the company’s $4,463,368 low bid.
S.R. 38 has a 4350 average daily traffic count at this location.
