[DCS] DCS Appoints Aaron Simpson Director in Pike County

PETERSBURG, Ind. (Feb. 3, 2014)The Indiana Department of Child Services announced today Aaron Simpson has been appointed the office director for the Indiana Department of Child Services, Pike County office. In his new role Simpson will set goals and objectives for child welfare management helping to ensure children are protected from abuse or neglect. In addition, he’ll oversee five family case managers and two clerical staff. He’ll also handle general office operations. 


“Aaron brings a wealth of experience with him and we’re pleased to have him take the reins for Pike County,” said Jane Bisbee, DCS’ Deputy Director of Field Operations. “His practical job experience working with at-risk youth and then later serving as a family case manager will benefit families in his county for years to come.”


A life-long resident of southwest Indiana, Simpson was born and grew up in Princeton. He began working with youth in 1997 as a youth development specialist with Southwest Indiana Youth Village in Vincennes. In 2000 he joined Ireland and Luzio Behavioral Services in Evansville and worked as a youth counselor. He became a family case manager for the Pike County office of the Indiana Department of Child Services in 2005. Simpson has a BS degree in business management/human resources from Oakland City University.


He began his new duties Jan. 13.
