End Date: 5/1/2013End Time: 11:59 PM
Entry Description

New Castle – On April 9 the Pendleton District Meth Squad served a search warrant on a house at 2309 Cherrywood in New Castle. The warrant resulted in John McCarty, age 48, being arrested for “A” Felony Manufacturing Methamphetamine within 1000’ of a School, along with other felony charges.

As a result of the ongoing investigation into the meth lab found on Cherrywood, the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office issued two more felony warrants. Arrested today in New Castle was Lisa Millis, age 53, and her daughter Casey Millis, age 21. Both used to reside at the Cherrywood address.

Both women were lodged in the Henry County Jail on Manufacturing Methamphetamine within 1000’ of a School, “A” Felony; Possession of Methamphetamine, Class “B” Felony; Possession of the Precursors Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Common Nuisance, both Class “D” Felonies.

The Pendleton District Meth Squad was assisted in the investigation by the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office, the Henry County Drug Task Force and the New Castle Police Department. Often times Meth Labs are found as a result of an anonymous tip from a neighbor or friend.

Anyone with information about illegal drug use may call the Pendleton Post at 1-800-527-4752, or the Indiana State Police Drug Tip Line at 1-800-453-4756. Tips can be made and kept anonymous. The Indiana Meth Investigation System or IMIS, can also take tips on meth labs. Just go to www.meth.in.gov and click on the “Report Suspected Meth Activity” Link.
