[ISP] Pursuit Leads to Arrest in Two States
Start Date: 3/11/2013Start Time: 12:00 AM
End Date: 3/11/2013End Time: 11:59 PM
Entry Description

Dearborn County: Friday, March 8 at approximately 11:20 p.m. Trooper Kyle Stovall was parked on I-275 northbound between the Carroll Cropper Bridge and exit 16 when a white 2004 Ford Taurus drove past then ran off the shoulder of the road nearly striking Tpr. Stovall’s vehicle. Tpr. Stovall caught up to the vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop. At the same time there was another citizen on 911 with Dearborn County Dispatch describing the same vehicle having run off the road into the median in Kentucky just prior to entering Indiana. Even though Tpr. Stovall had his emergency lights and siren activated the vehicle continued traveling northbound at approximately 40 mph then entered the state of Ohio finally stopping at approximately the 20 mile marker. At this time Tpr. Stovall was joined by Sgt. Kendle Davis of the Greendale Police Department when they took the driver into custody without incident. Both officers detained her until a Hamilton County Ohio Sheriff’s Deputy arrived at the scene.

The driver was later identified as 37 year old Juana C. Robak of Cincinnati. She was transported by a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputy for a certified breath test. The results of the test indicated her BAC to be .14. Tpr. Stovall will file charges against her in Indiana for Driving Under the Influence (Class C Misdemeanor) and Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle (Class D Felony). She is also facing Driving Under the Influence charges in Ohio.

Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
