Entry Description
Daviess County: A Loogootee woman was injured this morning in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of CR 350E and CR 200N.
The investigation reveals that at approximately 9:30 a.m. Betty J. Lewis, 75, Loogootee was traveling northbound on CR 350 E in her blue 2004 Ford Taurus when she failed to yield the right of way to silver 2004 Chevrolet Impala driven by Brittany L. Martin, 18, Washington that was traveling east on CR 200N. Lewis’ Taurus hit Martin’s Impala on the right side.
Lewis was taken to Daviess Community Hospital and then transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment of head injuries. Martin was not injured.
Seatbelts were in use by both drivers and both vehicles sustained heavy damage in the crash.
Lewis was cited for failing to yield the right of way.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
