STATEHOUSE (Mar. 1, 2013) – State Sen. Travis Holdman (R-Markle) recently welcomed the following students to the Statehouse to serve as Senate pages:

• Jordan Archambault, from Ossian, attends Norwell Middle School.
• Ian Cook, from Bluffton, attends Norwell Middle School.
• Alex Eckhart, from Fishers, attends Hamilton Southeastern High School.
• Nathan Eckhart, from Fishers, attends Hamilton Southeastern High School.
• Ian Eicher, from Bluffton, attends Norwell Middle School.
• Jarrett Focht, from Boston, attends Test Intermediate School.
• Alexandria Haddix, from Ossian, attends Norwell High School.
• Bradley Hammons, from Ossian, attends Norwell High School.
• Mitchell Kuhlenbeck, from Bluffton, attends Bluffton Middle School.
• Alex McCabe, from Markle, attends Norwell High School.
• Joel Neff, from Montpelier, attends Hoosier Academy.
• Kelli Neff, a homeschool student from Montpelier.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse, touring the historic building, observing debates from the chamber floor and interacting with their state senators.

“This program allows Hoosier students to directly participate in state government,” Holdman said. “I look forward to working with pages and encourage those interested in how our state runs to participate.”

Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 4.
