STATEHOUSE (Mar. 1, 2013) – State Sen. Randy Head (R-Logansport) recently welcomed the following students to the Statehouse to serve as Senate pages:

  • Karli Armstrong, from Logansport, attends Logansport High School.
  • Christy Bartlett, from Logansport, attends Logansport High School.
  • Jacob Bush, from Flora, attends Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School.
  • Kyndale Clark, from Peru, attends Peru High School.
  • David Haley, a homeschool student from Burrows.
  • Vivian Haley, a homeschool student from Burrows.
  • Caleb Hunt, from Bunker Hill, attends Maconaquah High School.
  • Paxton Hunt, from Bunker Hill, attends Maconaquah High School.
  • Porter Hunt, from Bunker Hill, attends Maconaquah Middle School.
  • Emma Long, from Peru, attends Peru High School.
  • Nathan Quasebarth, from Walton, attends Lewis Cass Jr.-Sr. High School.
  • Will Taylor, from Flora, attends Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School.
  • Kylie Wagoner, from Bringhurst, attends Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School.
  • Brittani Walker, from Converse, attends Oak Hill High School.
  • Jeremy Wise, from Galveston, attends Lewis Cass Jr.-Sr. High School.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse, touring the historic building, observing debates from the chamber floor and interacting with their state senators.

“The page program is a great opportunity for students to become engaged with their state government,” Head said. “This unique experience gives students knowledge they can apply to their future education and careers.”

Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 4.
