STATEHOUSE (March 1, 2013) – State Sen. Jim Tomes (R-Wadesville) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse as Senate pages in February:

·         Cody Devine, from Wadesville, attends North Posey High School

·         Ethan Raibley, from Mt. Vernon, attends Mt. Vernon Junior High School

·         Gwen Raibley, from Mt. Vernon, attends Mt. Vernon Senior High School

·         Andrea Seifert, from Mt. Vernon, attends Mt. Vernon Senior High School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the chamber floor and interacting with their state senators.

“I enjoyed spending time with the students who drove all the way from Southwest Indiana to serve as Senate pages this month,” Tomes said. “It’s an exciting time to be at the Statehouse, as we reach the mid-point of session. Their help is greatly appreciated.”

Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 4.
