Entry Description
Morgan County—This afternoon at 3:08, Indiana State Police responded to multiple reports of damage to vehicles on Interstate 70 near the 54 mile marker in Morgan County.
Preliminary investigation revealed a westbound tractor-trailer had lost a cargo support bracket from the trailer with the bracket falling onto the westbound lanes. Other westbound vehicles struck the bracket. Three passenger cars were immediately disabled and pulled to the shoulder. Two of the vehicles were towed as a result of the damage and one performed tire repair at the scene. One other tractor-trailer stopped and checked for damage, but no damage was found.
The tractor-trailer was operated by Hornish Brothers of Defiance, Ohio and the driver stopped to assist with the ISP investigation. |
