FATAL CRAWFORD COUNTY FIRE RULED ACCIDENTAL
Wood Burning Stove Blamed for Fire
CRAWFORD COUNTY – The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office has determined the fire that killed five people, three adults and two children, in Crawford County on February 7 was accidental.
Fire investigators with the State Fire Marshal’s Office have been working with the Leavenworth Fire Department and the English Fire Department to determine the cause of the fatal mobile home fire at 1325 East Denton Road in English, Indiana. On Monday, investigators ruled the fire was accidental and caused by a wood burning stove.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is a division of the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
