Entry Description
Rushville – A former Rushville City Police Officer was arrested Friday afternoon after a lengthy State Police investigation resulted in a warrant for his arrest. The case began in August 2012 when the Rushville City Police Department contacted Pendleton District Investigators requesting an investigation into allegations of one of their officers having an inappropriate relationship with a teenage juvenile female.
Former Officer Cale Worley, age 28 of Rushville, was arrested late Friday on a warrant for Class “D” Felony Official Misconduct and Class “A” Misdemeanor Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. The investigation was lengthy and included a search warrant for forensic searches of electronic devices owned by Worley and the juvenile female. The case was completed and turned over to the Rush County Prosecutor for his review on the November 28th, 2012.
Worley was the former DARE Officer for the Rushville City Police Department and worked in the Rushville Community Schools. He allegedly met with the female after hours and communicated with her by text message and Facebook. Worley resigned his position as an officer in August at the beginning of the investigation. |
