7:30a.m. – 5 p.m. 2013 Livestock, Forage and Grain Forum
Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann, Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, will kick off the Forum at 8:30 a.m. with opening remarks at the welcome before the Morning General Session. Indiana Agriculture Director, Gina Sheets will provide remarks during lunch. Indiana grain farmers and livestock producers can get more information at Livestock, Forage and Grain Forum.

10 a.m. Press Conference with Indiana Wines
Indiana Ag Director Gina Sheets will join Indiana Wines to celebrate an announcement made by the federal government.

Save the Date: Indiana Small Farm Conference March 1 & 2
The Indiana Small Farm Conference will provide small farmers with opportunities to learn and interact with other farmers, producers, extension educators, researchers, and students. There will be sessions about crop production, hoop houses, livestock production, processing and marketing produce and goods, energy, and small farm management. First Free Instructional Sessions Available for Producers February 19
ISDA is hosting a series of producer workshops across the state as part of the Certified Livestock Producer Program (CLPP). Each workshop is free of charge and will include industry experts in the five areas of focus for the CLPP program: commitment to the environment, animal well-being, food safety, emergency planning, biosecurity and being a good neighbor in their community. The next training is coming up February 19. Registration is available on the ISDA website at http://www.in.gov/isda/2395.htm.
