Rep. Richardson’s 2013 Adult Page Day Program accepting applicants
STATEHOUSE — State Rep. Kathy Kreag Richardson (R-Noblesville) is encouraging local adults to apply for her 2013 Adult Page Day Program. The program offers residents in District 29 over the age of 18 the chance to visit the Statehouse and see a full day of legislative activity on Tuesday, February 19.
“Being a part of the legislative session is a unique opportunity,” said Rep. Richardson. “It’s a hands-on experience that allows citizens to see how the Legislature and other branches of government function. I encourage everyone who is able to apply this year.”
Along with visiting the capitol building and touring such locations as the governor's office, the chambers of the Indiana House and Senate and the Indiana Supreme Court, pages get the chance to witness floor sessions and committee meetings, meet other public officials, and join Rep. Richardson for lunch.
Pages are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Statehouse and their parking.
Those interested are encouraged to contact Rep. Richardson at h29@in.gov or 317-232-9647 as soon as possible. The program is available to all eligible adults and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. The program will be available for up to 20 adults, but may not be able to accommodate more than that.
