Putnam County—Late last evening, Indiana State Police detectives from the Putnamville Post arrested a Putnam County man on sexual allegations involving a now 15-year-old female victim from Putnam County. Detectives were made aware of the alleged violations late Monday afternoon by the Putnam County Department of Child Services who had received a tip about the alleged sexual activity.

ARRESTED: Michael E. Fife, age 20, of Reelsville, IN.
CHARGES: (3) counts Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, C felony
(1) count of Disseminating Obscene Matter or Performance to a Minor, D felony
Incarcerated in the Putnam County Jail with no bond

Over the last year to year and a half time period and beginning when the victim was 14-years-old, Fife is alleged to have had sexual relations with the minor victim on multiple occasions. The incidents occurred at various locations in Putnam County. On one occasion, the victim is alleged to have witnessed a sexual encounter involving other adults. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
