Entry Description
Clay County----Indiana State Police troopers from the Putnamville Post have arrested Brian Keith Garrard, age 34, of Bloomingdale, IN. He was wanted for Criminal Recklessness with Serious Bodily Injury, D felony, in Parke County Indiana and felony burglary in Douglas County Illinois. Garrard had been considered armed and dangerous.
Acting on a Wabash Valley Crime Stoppers tip called into the Indiana State Police, ISP troopers Todd Brown, David Petrowski, and Mike Wood, along with officers from the Brazil Police Department went to 501 North Vandalia Street in Brazil, to search for Garrard. The address was the home of Brian Garrard’s mother. Garrard was located hiding in a rear storage room of the residence and taken into custody without incident. He was incarcerated in the Clay County jail. A family friend was at the home, but not Garrard’s mother. The case is closed and no further investigation is needed.
There is no bond on the Parke County warrant and $50,000 bond on the Douglas County Illinois warrant.
Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. |
