Entry Description
Putnam County—The Indiana State Police and Putnam County Coroner’s Office have identified the deceased mother and daughter involved in the multi-vehicle crash yesterday evening on Interstate 70 eastbound near the 43 mile marker.
The deceased mother is Emma Bronson, age 49, of Pascagoula, Mississippi.
Her deceased daughter is Zacchia Bronson, age 3, Pascagoula, Mississippi.
According to Putnam County Deputy Coroner Steve Walters, Mrs. Bronson succumbed to chest injuries and her daughter succumbed to head injuries, both pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the BMW was Michael Bronson, age 47, Pascagoula, Mississippi. He was treated at Methodist Hospital for neck and back pain. Michael Bronson is the husband and father of the victims and has since been released from Methodist Hospital.
Jordan Moore, driver of the tractor-trailer, is still hospitalized at Methodist Hospital with extensive injuries. William Bertelmann, driver of the pickup, is still undergoing observation at Methodist Hospital.
The investigation is still underway and no citations have been issued. At the conclusion of the investigation, the final report will be submitted to the Putnam County Prosecutor’s Office for review. |
