[INDOT] Overnight I-465 Restriction from I-69 to Allisonville Road

Overnight I-465 Restriction
I-69 to Allisonville Road

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors plan to restrict the left lane of westbound I-465 tonight to adjust pavement markings between I-69 and Allisonville Road.

The additional left lane restriction is expected to begin at 10 p.m. and reopen by 6 a.m. Friday.  During the nighttime operation, westbound I-465 will be restricted to two lanes.

Three westbound lanes of I-465 are temporarily shifted to the right between I-69 and Allisonville Road in order to reconstruct uneven pavement in the left lane. The ramp from southbound I-69 to westbound I-465 is temporarily reduced to a single lane that merges with the right lane of westbound I-465. 

The right lane of I-465 is temporarily not designated as an exit lane to Allisonville Road, but the exit to northbound Allisonville Road is open.

The traffic configuration is expected to be in place for approximately four weeks during the lane reconstruction. Some additional nighttime lane restrictions should be expected in both directions of I-465 between Allisonville Road and I-69 as work continues in the upcoming weeks. All nighttime traffic restrictions will take place between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
