Clark County-The name of the driver of the 2002 Chevrolet Impala whom was pronounced dead at the scene is Angela K Berkley, 24, from Bullitt County, KY
Shortly after 6:30 a.m., troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg responded to a fatal crash on State Road #60 just east of Deam Lake Road in Clark County. The preliminary investigation revealed a 2002 Chevrolet Impala was travelling west bound on State Road #60 and for an unknown reason the vehicle crossed the center line. After crossing the center line the Chevrolet struck a 1995 Land Rover travelling east bound, causing minimal damage to the Land Rover. After striking the Land Rover the Chevrolet Impala continued travelling west bound and approximately 300 feet later, struck a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck travelling east bound.
The driver of the Chevrolet Impala, Angela K Berkley, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. This driver was wearing a seat belt. There were two passengers in the Chevrolet Impala, a front seat passenger, Jason Orme, 33, of Corydon, IN, he was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY via air ambulance with serious injuries. He was wearing a seat belt. A rear seat passenger, Curtis L. Heckel, 24, from Louisville, KY, was also transported to the University of Louisville Hospital via air ambulance and later pronounced dead. He was not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the Land Rover, George Napier, 38, from Charlestown, IN, was not injured. He was wearing a seat belt. The driver of the 2002 Ford pickup truck, William Piper, 29, of Salem, IN, was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital via air ambulance with serious injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt. State Road #60 was closed for approximately four hours due to the crash. |
