Jasper County-Early this morning, at approximately 4:31 am, the Indiana State Police responded to a 911 call about a woman being injured/unresponsive on the shoulder of I-65 south bound at the 211 mile marker (this is four miles south of the Rensselaer exit).

Preliminary investigation revealed that a black female had sustained life threatening injuries. When the trooper arrived a male was attempting to do CPR on her.  The occupants of the white 2002 Buick Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) were coming from Chicago headed to Indianapolis.  It is unknown at this time where the female sustained her injuries.

One of the occupants, Nathan Huey-Dingle, 30 of Chicago, was arrested and taken to Jasper County Jail for an outstanding warrant.

The female was airlifted to Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.  Name is being withheld until positive identification can be made and family notified.

Anyone with any information concerning the occupants, the 2002 Buick SUV and to its/their actions (erratic driving, unusual activity etc) please call Indiana State Police Detective Jennifer Richmond at 219-696-6242.  It is believed the vehicle and its occupants may have stopped at various truck stops and rest areas on their trip south from Illinois.

This is an on-going investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
