[INDOT] State Road 32 Lane Closure Tonight

SR 32 Lane Closure Tonight

WESTFIELD, Ind. – Utility contractors will restrict the eastbound right lane of State Road 32 west of US 31 tonight.

Miller Pipeline, a contractor for Vectren Energy, will close the traffic lane at 9 p.m. and is expected to complete relocation work before 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.  However, it is possible the restriction will continue Wednesday night if necessary.

The utility relocation is being performed in advance of the planned US 31 Hamilton County initiative to upgrade the highway to freeway standards from I-465 to SR 38.  INDOT will bundle remaining construction phases for the new US 31 Hamilton County into one contract for bid later this year.  The new interstate-quality freeway is expected to open to traffic by the end of 2015, which is three years earlier than was previously anticipated.
