Entry Description
Kosciusko County – On Tuesday evening, shortly after 7:00 p.m., the Indiana State Police, along with officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Syracuse Police Department, and the Syracuse Fire Department, responded to a stabbing call in Cromwell. The Kosciusko County Central Dispatch received the 911 call reporting the stabbing in the Enchanted Hills subdivision.
Trooper Timothy Carpenter arrived at the scene, 9671 East King Arthurs Trail, Cromwell, to find a Syracuse Police officer attending to the victim. Carpenter was given the name of suspect in the stabbing and his address. Carpenter and a Syracuse Police officer went to 12021 North Raggedy Ann Road, Cromwell, in an attempt to locate the suspect, Kenny Ferguson, 61. Ferguson was located at his residence and arrested by officers without incident.
The victim, Joseph Lee Coon, 27, of Cromwell, was treated at Kosciusko Community Hospital for his injuries and later released. Ferguson was arrested for battery with a deadly weapon and is being held on a $5000.00 surety bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.
All subjects arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. |
