LOCAL AND STATE INVESTIGATORS REQUEST HELP IN VINCENNES HOME FIRE
Up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Vincennes and state authorities are asking for the public’s help as they look for the suspect(s) responsible for setting a July 27 Vincennes home fire. The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is offering up to a $5,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is a division of the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
The Vincennes Fire Department, the Vincennes Police Department, and the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the fire at 31 E. Jefferson Avenue. No one was hurt. The fire caused $85,000 worth of damage.
Authorities are encouraging anyone with information about this fire, no matter how insignificant the information may seem, to call the State Fire Marshal’s Arson Hotline.
State Fire Marshal’s Arson Hotline
The number for the State Fire Marshal’s hotline is 1-800-382-4628. The hotline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Callers could receive up to a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest of the person(s) responsible. Citizens can remain anonymous. All names will be kept confidential.
