Entry Description
Clinton County- Today at approximately 2:50 p.m, Trooper Nate King of the Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division, stopped a refrigerated truck for a routine truck inspection on state road 28 near county road 600 west in Clinton County.
The white 2009 Peterbilt owned by Amigos Foods out of Chicago, IL was driven by Christopher C. Garcia, 28 years old from Chicago, IL. As Trooper King was doing the inspection, it was found to have pork and chicken products above the allowable temperature inside the refrigerated unit. With assistance from the Clinton County Health Department, approximately 150 pounds of meat products were destroyed.
The driver was cited for motor carrier violations and he and the truck were released. The truck was going to grocery stores in Frankfort, IN to make deliveries.
All Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. |
