I-465 Overnight Lane Restrictions

At Allisonville Road This Week

 

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will restrict traffic lanes on Interstate 465 at Allisonville Road during overnight hours this week. 

 

The two left lanes of eastbound and westbound I-465 will be closed beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 11 as crews from Walsh Construction, the state’s contractor, remove metal sheet piling and backfill around the bridge’s center support pier.  The traffic lanes will reopen before 6 a.m. Thursday.  The traffic restriction will repeat Thursday and Friday nights from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning.

 

The Allisonville Road bridge over I-465 closed for reconstruction on May 30 for approximately 110 days.  Walsh Construction crews are currently paving concrete ramp lanes and finishing reinforced walls connecting the new interchange ramps to the bridge.  In addition to the bridge center pier, crews are working to complete the bridge abutments in preparation for setting bridge beams.
