Entry Description
Clark County- On today’s date shortly after 5:00 A.M., troopers Jim Ferguson and Matt Marshall observed a silver Dodge Magnum enter the McDonald’s parking lot at Ohio Avenue and State Road 311 in Sellersburg. The driver of the Dodge Magnum, Joshua A. Oakley, 21, from Middlesboro, KY, approached the troopers as they were speaking outside of their police cars in the parking lot. Joshua A. Oakley handed his car keys to trooper Marshall and advised he was too drunk to drive.
Upon further investigation, Joshua A. Oakley, was found to be in an alleged state of intoxication and he also allegedly refused a certified alcohol breath test. Joshua A. Oakley was arrested and incarcerated in the Clark County Jail. While being processed at the jail he physically began resisting officers. He was subdued without injury to himself or officers.
Joshua A. Oakley was charged with Driving While Intoxicated/Refusal, D Felony; Driving While Intoxicated, D Felony; Resisting Law Enforcement, A Misdemeanor and Public Intoxication, B Misdemeanor.
All subjects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. |
