[INDOT] US 40/Washington Street Traffic Switch Monday Night

Traffic Shift Monday Night on
West US 40/Washington St.

 

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will shift traffic on US 40/Washington Street on the city’s west side on Monday, April 9.  The temporary work zone traffic pattern will be west of I-465 to Glen Arm Drive, just past High School Road.

 

US 40/Washington Street will have alternating lane restrictions overnight Monday beginning at 9 p.m.  Temporary striping and crossovers will be installed to place both directions of traffic on the south side of the roadway.  Both eastbound and westbound traffic will have two lanes open in each direction by 6 a.m. Tuesday.  This traffic configuration is expected to last about six weeks as the westbound side of the road is reconstructed.
