Traffic Restrictions Tuesday

On State Road 32

At the Tillotson Ave. Bridge

 

GREENFIELD, Ind. – Contractors next week will begin pouring the second phase of bridge deck concrete on Muncie’s Tillotson Avenue bridge over State Road 32.

 

On Tuesday, April 3, traffic on State Road 32 will be limited to a single lane controlled by flaggers during the placement of concrete on the bridge above.  Eighth Street will be closed during the operation.  Traffic on Tillotson Avenue should not be affected.  Traffic control will begin at 7 a.m. and the deck pour is expected to be complete by mid afternoon.

 

The contract completion date for the bridge reconstruction is June 29, 2012.  When complete, a new 315-foot five-span pre-stressed concrete structure will accommodate four 12-foot travel lanes with shoulders on Tillotson Avenue.
