Entry Description
STATEHOUSE (Mar. 6, 2012) – State Sen. Ron Grooms (R-Jeffersonville) issued the following statement regarding the outbreak of tornadoes in Southern Indiana on Friday, March 2.
“My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of Clark County and other Southern Indiana Hoosiers who were affected by this tragedy. The scale of the devastation left behind is immense.
“In a short matter of time, these deadly tornadoes left families, friends and neighbors homeless or mourning the loss of loved ones. Those left behind to salvage the remnants of their lives are in critical need of support through donations and volunteers. Contacting legitimate relief agencies - like a local red cross - might be the best way to help at this time.
“Residents in Southern Indiana should know, at the very least, their fellow Hoosiers are here to support them at this time of need.”
