Entry Description
Clark County-Earlier today at approximately 4:47 PM, trooper Nate Abbott observed a gray 2005 Ford Taurus, following a semi too closely in the slow lane of Interstate 65 South Bound near the 16 Mile Marker. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and as he was talking to the occupants he could smell an overwhelming odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle.
A subsequent search in the trunk area of the vehicle yielded fifty, (50), one gallon plastic bags located in two suitcases and a plastic tote. The fifty plastic bags were filled with marijuana, each weighing approximately one pound.
The street value of the seized Marijuana is over $50,000. Also seized from the driver of the vehicle was $2,185.

Driver- Corey L. Beckwith, 30, from Culver Street in Indianapolis, IN.
1) Dealing Marijuana Over Ten Pounds, C Felony.
2) Possession of Marijuana Over 30 Grams, D Felony.
3) Possession of Marijuana with a Prior Conviction, D Felony.
4) Maintaining a Common Nuisance, D Felony.
Passenger-Michael C. Stokes, 22, from Kenneth Avenue in Indianapolis, IN.
1) Dealing Marijuana Over Ten Pounds, C Felony.
2) Possession of Marijuana Over 30 Grams, D Felony.
3) Possession of Marijuana with a Prior Conviction, D Felony.
4) Maintaining a Common Nuisance, D Felony.
